Is Your Pricing Structure Actually Costing You Money?
Do you ever think your tuition structure might be overly complicated?
Imagine if you are a prospective student, and you walk into a martial arts school..
โWell we have 4 membership optionsโฆ each with different down payments, AND a percentage discount if you prepay. Oh, and this month weโre running a special, so actually itโs 10% off option 3 if you sign up today.โ
Iโve seen pricing sheets like this before, and it makes my head hurt.
The parent is trying to do mental gymnastics to figure out which one is the best value, and thatโs not fun.
Look, when was the last time YOU signed up for anything that complicated? Tell me one thing??
Maybe buying a house, that isโฆ and how does that process feel?
Stressful. Confusing. Exhausting.

The more mental math a prospect has to do, the more likely they are to say:
โWeโll think about it and get back to you.โ
And guess what? They rarely do.
Your pricing should be so simple that a 1st grader could explain it.
Why? Because if you need a seasoned sales pro just to close the deal, when that person leaves, your system breaks.
Hereโs what we like to offer:
โ
All unlimited options.
โ
Just 2โ3 choices.
โ
Simple time-based commitment.
Example:
-
Flex (cancel anytime): $199 bi-weekly
-
6-month: $149 bi-weekly
-
12-month: $129 bi-weekly
Thatโs it.
We donโt call it Gold or Platinum or VIP, itโs just based on how long you want to commit.
Notice thereโs no cents or .99 added to anything?
If you hate term memberships, fine, then vary the price based on how many days a week they train, or which programs they get access to.
But keep it SUPER simple.
If your 10-year-old student canโt explain your tuition, itโs too complicated.
As Alex Hormozi says โSimple Scales, Fancy Failsโ
And I know what youโre thinking:
โWhat about paid-in-fulls?โ
I have a super simple, effective, and NON-salesy strategy for offering paid in fulls, and it works like a charm without giving prospects sticker shock.
If you want it, Iโve got a one-page doc that explains exactly how to do it. For free. Just reply your LEAST favorite fruit i.e. โkiwiโ and Iโll send it to you for free.
Fair enough?
