The 30-Day Challenge That Will Keep Your Students Hooked

Do you want students who stick around LONGER so you’re not constantly fighting for new enrollments each month?

Today, I’m sharing a simple challenge you can use at your school to lock in retention and build long-term loyalty.

The first 30 days of a student’s journey are the most critical.

This is when they decide whether showing up at your school becomes a natural part of their routine—or just another passing hobby.

If they don’t develop the habit of attending class regularly, they’ll fall off fast.

Worse, they might ghost entirely, leaving you scratching your head and thinking: “WTF just happened?”

So besides running great classes, how do you keep new students engaged and excited?

Solution: The 30-Day Kickoff Challenge

After students enroll, give them a 30-day challenge. They can ONLY do this within their first 30 days, and it’s a one-time opportunity.

If they complete the challenge, they earn a forever reward—like $10 off their monthly tuition.

Here’s how it works:

To complete the challenge, students must:

Attend 8 classes in their first 30 days.
Write a Google review with a photo or video.
Bring 2 friends to try a class.
Have their parent attend one adult class.
Switch billing to ACH (optional but highly effective).

Adjust these to fit your school's culture, but make the prize exciting enough to motivate participation without making the challenge too difficult or too easy.

Why it works:
Imagine every new student brought in 2 friends during their first month. How many more referrals would you get without begging? A LOT.

This challenge doesn’t just help retention; it builds momentum and gets families involved right from the start. It’s a win-win for everyone.
